Mandala Flow Yoga: (All Levels)
This exciting new class will entail a dynamic vinyasa flow!
Just like the circular characteristics of a mandala, you’ll explore circular movements with your body, moving around all 4 corners of the mat 360 degrees. The class will have a slower paced vinyasa (flow) through different levels of asana (poses) while prioritizing breath to movement, much like the shape of the mandala itself.
So break out of your usual routine and challenge your body awareness and coordination while increasing stamina and flexibility!
Gentle Yoga: (Beginner Class / All Levels)
Gentle yoga is great for someone that may be a beginner or would like a more relaxed practice. The class is designed with simpler poses that entail more stretching and deep breathing techniques. This type of practice is also recommended for someone recovering from surgery or that may have physical limitations. This class is also a safe practice for a Prenatal yogi! Gentle yoga is a class designed to de-stress you from your busy hectic day. Even though it's considered a "gentle" practice you will still receive all the benefits of the mind, body & spirit workout.
Intro to Yoga / Basic Hatha Yoga: (Beginner Class / All Levels)
Learn the fundamentals of yoga, breathing techniques and proper alignments of basic yoga poses. This class can be for the beginner or a lighter practice for the more experienced. Helps to build strength, flexibility and balance, along with enhancing inner peace.These forms of yoga focuses on physical and mental strength building exercises and postures. Discussion of the 8 limbs of yoga are incorporated into the intention setting of this class.
Intro-Mediate Yoga: (Beginner / Intermediate Level Class)
This class is suitable for a beginner yogi. You will learn proper alignment for basic poses to keep your practice safe and healthy. While this class will be cued as a beginner level class, options will be offered to take your practice to the next level, but only if you'd like to. You can take it as easy as you'd like in this class or challenge yourself to push your edge. This is a fun class that is always offering different flows and creative poses to keep you on your toes.
Restorative/Yin Yoga: (Beginner Class / All Levels)
The Restorative/Yin Yoga class is designed to create a deep relaxation throughout the entire body. Restore yourself with a series of moving restorative poses, typically done on the floor with supportive props to aid the body in releasing tension. A restorative practice is designed to recharge the energy reserves, heal the effects of stress and bring our nervous systems into a more balanced state. Please wear comfortable clothing.
Chair Yoga: (All Levels)
Chair yoga is a unique style of yoga that incorporates all of the breathing and mind-body benefits that a traditional class entails. You will improve flexibility, range of motion and muscle tone while reducing stress and obtaining an overall sense of well-being. Poses are modified so they can be performed safely in a chair or the chair may be used for support during standing poses. This class is suitable for all fitness levels and physical conditions.
Yin Yoga: (Beginner Class / All Levels)
If flexibility is what you need to work on this is the class for you! Yin yoga is designed to work on the connective tissue of the body. You will be holding supported poses while breathing, meditating and stretching muscle and tissue for a deep mind, body, spirit practice.
Slow Flow Yoga: (All Levels)
Slow flow incorporates poses with breathing techniques that will increase stamina, flexibility and strength. This class gives you the chance to flow slowly through each pose while you explore the pose itself and allows time for alignment adjustments. This class is suitable for all levels.
Yoga Fusion: (Challenging Class)
This class is a combination of yoga sequences and exercises designed to target small muscle groups to tone the body, relieve stress, and increase strength and flexibility. Freehand weights are sometimes used in this class to build muscle and strengthen bone density, but are ALWAYS optional. The pace of this class is lively so take the challenge. Remember in any yoga class you only do what you can do!
Power Yoga: (Challenging Class)
Get ready to get in shape! This class is a dynamic blend of yoga sequences, low-impact exercises and stretches designed to strengthen and tone the entire body. Light weights are provided at the studio and are incorporated into this practice but are optional to the individual. This is a great workout!
Vin/Yin Yoga: (All Levels)
The first half of this class consists of Vinyasa Yoga, an energetic flow that synchronizes the breath with a continuous flow of yoga poses. The second half of this class consists of a Yin practice. Poses are held for 1-3 minutes and targets the connective tissue of the body/joints and will include a combination of seated then reclining positions. This practice helps to maximize flexibility and range of motion. All levels welcome!
Kundalini Yoga: (All Levels) - This Class Runs The First Friday (Evening) of the Month
Experience how this unique form of yoga restores balance, healing and harmony throughout the body and mind. You will be guided through this class by an experienced instructor that will take you through yoga sets, mantras and meditation. End the class with the GONG for rest, relaxation and transformation.
These Are Not Weekly Classes But Are Offered At Lotus One At Different Times Of The Year

This class will consist of weight free poses that will lengthen and strengthen the body while balancing the chakras with energetic flows. This is a good class to take that step up in your practice but not quite to the Yoga Fusion level. Challenge yourself!!
Intro to Ashtanga: (You need to have a good understanding of yoga poses)
Ashtanga Yoga is a dynamic practice that synchronizes the breath and movement. You'll be guided through a set sequence of poses which not only builds core strength and tones the body but also produces an internal heat that purifies the entire body. Each time you practice you will become more and more familiar with the sequence which will allow you to move deeper within. The Ashtanga practice was founded by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois.
Prenatal Yoga: (Specialty Class)
Prenatal yoga classes are very beneficial as you face the physical demands of labor, birth and motherhood. Breathing techniques taught in these classes help to increase blood circulation, slow the heart rate and lower blood pressure which can benefit mom and baby. This age-old practice keeps you limber, tones your muscles, and improves your balance and circulation, with little, if any, impact on your joints. This 4 week session will also introduce you to other pregnant women whose
interests and health habits are the same and will create bonds amongst each other. This class will run when we have enough prenatal students. Call for more info.
